BLUE WATERS INN

*The management at Blue Waters Inn planned a refurbishment due to start May 2008 but will now be put back to the period May-Oct 2009. The hotel will convert the four self-catering apartments into Deluxe rooms which will take place in September-October 2008 as planned. There will be no disruption to guests and hotel services will operate as normal whilst these 4 rooms are upgraded.* Located on the "quiet" side of the island, Blue Waters Inn is a beautiful island retreat. This charming Inn is on a lovely beach, just opposite Little Tobago and Goat Island, and has it's own private bay, where you can swim, snorkle, kayak and sunbathe. The flowers, palms and tropical plant life are stunning and it's a "birders" destination, with colorful and varied spieces. Bird watchers will enjoy meeting the local birding expert who provides hikes and informative expeditions to the best birding spots. There are also guided boat trips for eco-tourism and snorkelling. Scuba diving centres are near and offer various levels of dives to the beautiful and unspoilt reefs. At the Inn, Friday "manager's rum punch and buffet" offers an opportunity for fun, a delicious buffet, and a chance to mingle. The restaurant at Blue Waters Inn serves up tasty Caribbean and International cuisine, and there are a few restaurants in the nearby town worth a visit. During the week local artistes provide evening entertainment. This is a great place to unwind, and perfect for couples, families, honeymooners, active/advenuturous types, and of course birdwatchers. ACCOMMODATIONS: A total of 38 rooms which include 3 bungalows with either 1 or 2 bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, and a large porch. There are also 4 self-catering apartments with either 1 or 2 bedrooms, and 31 standard SINGLE/ DOUBLE rooms. All rooms face the ocean and have a private shower/wc, ceiling fans and a balcony or porch. All rooms have been recently re-decorated and include air conditioning at no extra charge. The rooms, apartments and bungalows are spacious, and tropically furnished. All include: Sea facing view A/C Ceiling fan Balcony or patio En-suite bathroom Bath & Shower Standard Room - With 2 twins or king bed (sleeps 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children) One Bedroom Apt - With king bed, open plan living area and full equipped kitchenette (sleeps 2 adults and 1 infant) Two Bedroom Apt - With king bed and 2 double beds in second apt, open plan living area and full equipped kitchenette (sleeps 4 adults and 2 children) One Bedroom Bungalow - (separate building) Full size kitchen, living room (fan), dining room, and bedroom (a/c). King bed (sleeps 2 adults and 1 infant). Two Bedroom Bungalow - (separate building) Full size kitchen, living room (fan) dining room and two separate bedrooms (a/c). One with king bed, one with 2 double beds. (sleeps 4 adults, 2 children) Handicapped The Inn offers rooms to physically challenged guests. These rooms have shower rails, and toilet rails. Physically challenged guests can go from one end of the property to the next in wheelchairs if necessary, via walkways which are suited for this purpose. RECREATION ROOM/TV ROOM/CONFERENCE ROOM: This area is used as a recreation room with Satellite Television, Table Tennis, internet (available at a minimum charge) and a full library with numerous volumes in different languages. The room also doubles as a Mini Conference facility, from which offers a range of Audio Visual equipment, and caters to approximately 30 persons. This room is fully air-conditioned.
