Stayed for 12 days. Nice village. Price is to high for the value that you get!Owners don't know much about the island and are not very friendly.Everything is very tensed between the staff and the managers.A lot of what they promise you on their website, forget about it.Beach is far away, everything on the island is at least 1.5 hour drive, and it is not fun driving over there!Long waiting if you order food in the restaurant usually. They say everything is fresh, but somebody from the staff told us that most is tinned food and the rest frozen stuff. Not a good experience !

We stayed at Calibishie Lodges for 10 unforgettable days. It was the best vacation ever. Chris , Linda, Juris and the staff were the best hosts. The rooms were awesome, the food was perfect and the conversations were great. The whole island was very friendly and very willing to show whatever you wanted to see and there is a lot to see. We will be returning next year. It is a very beautiful place to see. Thanks to Chris and Linda, Juris and the staff for the perfect holiday.

We've just returned to Darwin having had the most delightful "Dominican" experience... in great measure thanks to Calibishie Lodges.Linda and Chris are the most accomplished customer service staff who not only bring efficiency but that elusive ingredient, genuine warmth, to the care and keeping of their guests. Linda and Chris are the delightful and always concerned hosts... our wish was their command. The Lodges are charming, impeccable, and an oasis which has just enough "country" and just enough "civilization" to allow a visitor the best of both worlds.Breakfasts are delicious; beds comfy; and the hospitality beyond compare!

Stayed in four places in Dominica. Calibishie Lodges I liked the most. Gave one a "family" feeling. Small hotel, good meals served by rasta Nigel, who I never saw without a smile. Brandy is the little (7 years ) entertainer. She is the sunshine in the place and Vim is a funny guy. Helps you with any needs whatsoever. To be short : Great time, clean rooms, happy faces and a good time !

We went on vacantion in Dominica and bookt no hotels on front. We travelt around the island and stayed at e few places.About the island, it is magnificent, i can't describe it with words ! I have read e few good comments about calibishie-lodges (carib. online and tripadvizor ) and so this was also a place we had to visite. We have stayed ad 4 hotels around the island but this came out as the best. The lodges are pretty, the employees were friendly, the manager speeks several languages.Normaly we should stay for 1 week at this hotel, but it became 2 weeks. The island is small so you can make excursions from the hotel with very good guides.Bob and Nigel are very good guides and you'll have a great time with them. They are friendly and very natural.I can recommend the boiling lake, whale watching, batibou beach, nature walk and crab hunting. An experience of a lifetime !!!To everybody who are planning to visite Dominica, Just do it !!On the website from calibishie-lodges there is a link to movies about dominica ( www.dominica-accommodation.com ) Here you can see what you can expect.I hope i can do someone a pleasure with this review. If one thing is sure, you won't regret visiting calibishie-lodges.Regards Wim
