Ideally located just 5 minutes from the capital, Roseau, this lovely hotel is set on the edge of a cliff and has great historic charm. Its recent expansion and magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea and island coastline make it a perfect choice for the discerning traveller.
Located near the heart of Roseau, this hotel is set within the walls of an original fortress, and enjoys wonderful coastal views. The charming hotel successfully blends historic charm with modern convenience.
Nestled within the walls of a fort built in 1770, the Fort Young Hotel is Dominica?s premiere resort hotel.

We just recently stayed at the Fort Young Hotel in Roseau and have already recommended to friends who are going to Dominica. The hotel is located right on the waterfront, near restaurants, shops, etc. and also have their own amenities on site. The staff was very friendly and efficient and, picky travellers that we are, we just loved everything about the hotel!Dominica is a beautiful island with friendly people and great food, so enjoy your visit!

Simply the best on the island. Nothing better than a late night cup of Cafe' Sisserou coffee and home made Coconut Ice cream. To die for. Hotel the best if you are doing business on the island. Close to government house. The diving is the best and cheapest in the Caribbean

Without question this is the place to stay in Dominica if you are their on business. They have the finest food and the finest coffee available anywhere anywhere in the Caribbean. Since I am in the coffee business I was overjoyed to be able to drink a cup of Cafe' Sisserou every morning in my room as the waves crashed below my room window. Dominica is not for everyone but if you want a vacation that will leave you rested The Fort Young and Dominica are the place.
The Fort Young on Friday night is "the " Place on the island. Not to be missed.

I was in Dominica on a business trip June of 99 and stayed in Roseau at the Fort Young Hotel. They had recently completed an expansion with a new restaurant overlooking the harbor, a lot of new rooms and a group of shops. Their old restaurant in the old fort walls is still open and charming. Their lunch buffet - very busy with business people from town and also vacationers - was delicious. They had mostly local specialties - a good way to try a lot of new dishes.
