Okay, I understand wanting to stay at a five-star resort, and the fact that Brad and Jen stayed there before the divorce is definitely an attraction. But the treatment of people that are coming to visit guests of the hotel was extremely rude. We had considered staying at the resort for a few nights towards the end of our visit to Anguilla, but after we were treated so rudely, we changed our minds. The cost of cancelling the reservation was worth it. We had lunch with our friends that were staying there and after waiting 15 minutes to be greeted and another 15 to get our drinks, and a $93 dollar tab later, we decided that Cap Jaluca is not worth the cost and, while we did not stay at Cuisinart (another five-star down the beach), at least when we had dinner/drinks there, we were not treated as rudely.

Cap Juluca is such a wonderful place. The rooms and service at this resort are incredible. It is very romantic and private if you are looking for a special trip. Definitely get a Luxury Room or better if you can and I would suggest 2nd floor so you can enjoy the views from your balcony. We were in both Villa 5 and Villa 6 which offered excellent views and calm waters. I would also highly recommend the massages which can be done on your balcony or patio. The restaurants were also really nice and set up right on the water's edge- really romantic- get there early or late though if you want one of the tables next to the water. There are many activities you can set up with Concierge as well if you are looking for snorkeling trips, restaurant recommendation, car rental etc..We will definitely visit Cap Juluca again and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a romantic trip!

We stayed at Cap Juluca for 4 nights Nov. 2-6. Even though I had read plenty of reviews and researched tons of information on the resort, we were both extremely impressed with the resort and the service. The Junior suite was beautiful with the most incredible view and beach. Every single member of the staff was extremely friendly - asking us about our stay and doing anything they could to help. We have never experienced this kind of service in the Caribbean. We can't wait to return.

Cap Juluca is certainly one of the most beautiful resorts in the world. If you want a place where you can walk outside your door and the most beautiful beach in the world is right there, this is the place for you. The staff will please you to end. The only negative is the food. The two restaurants are highly overrated and way too expensive. Though they both have great atmosphere, the island is so loaded with great restaurants (you have to go to Olivers, their coconut pie is a must) you won't go wrong. Also, when going to Cap Juluca, you must ask for a room with the shower leading out side with the 8 foot glass door. Not all rooms have this and it is great! We were there twice and are going back in 2004.

My favorite romantic resort (Cap Juluca) The beach is white, the water calm and beautiful. The room view is excellant, breakfast served on our terrace and the dinner out on the beach was terrific. While laying at the beach, you are brought cold wash cloths, water and even sorbet. I would highly recommend this if your budget can take it for a honeymoon or like us (30+ Anniversary.) It is a very expensive though.

It was a long time comin' and after Lenny blew us out on our first attempt and my not being quick enough to take advantage of the reopening special last year, I finally made it to Cap Juluca. Funny as I looked at my passport it was just a year to the date that I had set foot on Anguilla and had stayed at CuisinArt. Now that was a beautifully manicured property, lovely staff but in some ways it didn't measure up but they tried and Anguilla is such a wonderful destination with those magnificant beaches and great dining! It was with anticipation that I overnited it at EWR airport to catch that 7am flight anticipating problems with security and long lines. Arriving at the airport at 5:30 gave more than ample time. No lines, security was a breeze and I didn't even earn a second look! On to SJU after a breakfast of French toast and mimosas and arrived early enuf to catch that earlier Eagle to AXA. OH! No! All the times that the Eagle has seperated me from my luggage, this was not going to be one of 'em! No amount of begging and whinning convinced 'em to put me on the earlier flight. They wouldn't even check to see if the luggage could make it since I was there well within the window to do so. And all those times I had crossed my fingers that my luggage would make it, this time, I did not care! Patiently read my book and watched the comings and goings at Gate 1 and finally got to Anguilla! A quick taxi ride. And within 45 minutes I had been shown to the room and was in the water! It was just glorious! What a magnificant spot! What a wonderful place! It was magical!Staff could not have been more accomodating and I don't recall having to ask for anything but when I did, it was there! The accomodations are wonderfully furnished Carib-style (no lumpy futons like CuisinArt to act as chair/sofa) and lights that you could read by! Those screened louvered doors that let the breezes in (unlike CuisinArt with the heavy drapes and partially closed front and balconys set so not to take advantage of the breeze so you had to use the a/c). Spacious storage and closet space (CuisinArt has one amoire with 6 small drawers and one of 'em was stuck!). A wonderful tastings of shrimps, chicken wings and other goodies awaited my arrival, a bottle of champagne, a bottle of Pyrat run and bar set up were all within fingertip reach! Love my Ting! Had dinners both at Pimm's and at George's and both were delightful with impeccable service and outstanding food. (Hydroponic Cafe and Med Cafe at CuisinArt were good for lunches but "fine" dining was not so fine and, if memory severs me well, CuisinArt's menu prices seemed to be a bit steeper!) I know people like to criticize both but the waterside dining at Pimm's (almost in the water and I suspect if a good wave came along you might be IN the water!) and George's beachfront location were lovely and the food was excellent with nice presentations. I usually opt for just an appetizer and dessert but this time, most of the time, I went all out and waddled out of each meal! From the pastries and breakfast served at the time you request to the turn down and "lights out," Cap was perfection. The one afternoon that I looked up and saw the double rainbow poised over Pimm's and Cap, I knew that I had found that pot of gold that everyone always talks about finding. It truly is a special place and worthy of the raves that it receives. The accomodations, the amenities and the staff are a wonderful orchestra all playing their part expertly together. Cap was the last remaining on my long lists of musts and I certainly did save the best for last - but, now to make a new list but it's gonna be tough with Cap as the benchmark! The full moon shining on the water and the double rainbow were only some of the extras thrown in for good measure! My only surprises were the pool - yes, I had to look and was surprised but I do not do pools and it seems that no one at Cap does either. Not one of their strong points but who needs it anyway? The wall of the food prep building abuts the pool area. And I wish that they had a sail for the excursions as my preference is to hear the wind and the water rather than the chug of the engine. And those "complaints" I really had to search for! Cap is one of the few places that would definitely be included on my return trip list. Now, just to figure out how soon!

Cap Juluca was exactly what i expected it to be.Romantic, beautiful suites and villas on a beautiful white sand beach. It was nice having breakfast every morning on the terrace overlooking the ocean with views of st.marten.They bring you cold towels on the beach to cool off and at 4:oo they bring you sorbet on the beach everyday.Feel like a drink, just hang your flag and someone from the bar will come and take your order. Then between 4:00 and 6:00 everyday they serve tea, coffee, cookies and biscuits. They definitly pamper you there. We had the pool villa and it was incredible.I can't imagine any villa being any nicer.Pimms was beautiful.Sitting a few feet from the water with the lights shining on it you can see the fish swimming by.

We stayed at Cap Juluca November 3rd through November 10th. It is a truly beautiful place and I have never been anywhere where the service is better. The rooms are very spacious and the only drawback was that while the bedrooms are air-conditioned, the bathrooms are not. This resort offers everything a person could want or need in a very classy setting; pristine white beach, water sports, tennis, incredibly good food, sunset cruises, and complete privacy if you want it. The resort was full while we were there and yet we never had trouble finding an empty beach umbrella outside our villa. As far as I am concerned paradise has an address and Cap Juluca is it. Now that we have been there once, we hope to be able to return again and again in the future. This resort is a dream come true and can't be beat.

This was probably the most relaxing, most romantic holiday my husband and I have had since our honeymoon in Hawaii 3 years ago. Our first trip w/o kids since our second came along 11 months ago.
The most beautiful beaches. Lots of sun but a nice tradewind keeps you cool while sunning.
Cap Juluca had it all.
We checked out the other hotels in this price category and went to look at the rooms at each Malliohana, Cuisinart and Covecastles. Malliohana is really old and rooms in the $800 range are not right on the beach, rooms are sparse and the furniture is old. It really needs to have a complete renovation.
Cuisinart is very nice and new and has televisions and vcr's in their rooms but it's not as nicely spread out along the beach as Cap Juluca. It has beautiful bathrooms too. It also has the nicest pool of the bunch! Nice pool furniture; big cushy lounge chairs! My favorite restaurant for food on the island is Cuisinart. If Cap Juluca was all booked I would call here next!
Cap Juluca is soo nice. I thought the bedding was a bit rough (Polyester bedspread very uncomfortable! Low threadcount sheets.). Bathrooms are amazing! Jr suites are Very spacious! The furniture is very nice. No tv is actually a godsend. (unless you brought the kids). We rented a cd player and bought a couple of the local bands' cd's. It was really nice listening every night as we sat on our patio and looked west and watched the sunset every evening. Nicest beach of the bunch!
Covecastles in very nice and very private and very exclusive. Very very very quiet beach!! The most beautiful condos with kitchens. Great Furniture!! Nice bedding! (Bathrooms not as nice as Cap Juluca though!)
However I think I would go back to Cap Juluca cuz it has the best beach. Great watersports! And although I enjoyed quiet and privacy there was just enough people around to enjoy some nice conversations about which restaurant to try and what's a good read for the beach! Plus Cap Juluca has more suites with plunge pools and they also have a large pool for the resort. So if I brought the kids sometime I'd need that.
I don't think I'm planning to bring my kids anytime soon though. It is a perfect getaway for two! Very romantic. Very quiet.
(Also it would be expensive to bring the kids and if you're a foodie the kids might not appreciate it as much).
I have to say none of these hotels are as good as "The Four Season's". But there's only one 4 seasons in the Caribbean and that's on Nevis and I don't think Nevis has the great restaurants that Anguilla has.
This was by all accounts the Best holiday we've every had for food in the caribbean.
It is almost as good as Maui!!

Cap Juluca for the ultimate in luxury and one of my favorite hotels. No, in-room TV.
Pool is ok. Beach is beautiful. Rooms are the best. Complete continental breakfast also, your in-room refrigerator is stocked with complimentary beverages.
One of the nicest resorts on the
Island to stay. Great Service.

While expensive, Cap Juluca is worth every penny - from the welcoming rum punch at arrival to the attentive beach staff who bring cooling towels and afternoon sorbet. Ok, so the grounds are no question man-made (you drive across a marsh to get there), but this is made up for by the mile-long beach and amazing Mediterranean inspired architecture. Only 4 or so villas per building (10 buildings in the complex) makes for a suprisingly private experience. They have two good restaurants on site, and breakfast is served to your room with the paper. Enjoy the wonderful bathrooms with their own private tanning deck.
